Driverless-vehicle options now include scooters
A MIT Self-driving scooter MIT will run alongside autonomous golf carts and city cars.
An autonomous driverless mobility scooter and its related software has been designed by a team of researchers from various locations and bodies, including MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), the National University of Singapore, and the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART).
Before riding the scooter, users were asked on a scale of 1 to 5 how they rated the safety of autonomous vehicles to be. Before the ride, the score was 3.5, after the ride this increased to 4.6
