Linux is the most popular operating system for autonomous vehicle computing. There are various versions, but the main two are Ubuntu, the most popular for self-driving vehicles and embedded Linux. The popularity of Linux is due to its lack of clutter or "bloatware", giving a clean, fast functionality.
