Volkswagen introduced an interesting new vehicle at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, the I.D. Buzz Cargo.



This will eventually replace the very well-known Volkswagen Transporter. The Buzz is as you would expect, an emission free Electric Vehicle and will also be fitted with a clever Autonomous driving mode called I.D. Pilot fitted as standard.

The production target date is 2022. It will have a 340 mile range between battery charges, In addition to the range, the charging time is an impressive 30 minutes to 80% capacity. VW also advise that there is a wireless charging method under development.

This van will target both the company fleet service vehicle market and the individual mobile tradesperson. With its ultra-modern interior, smart cargo system, inventory management capability and even a power tool integration, it is expected to make a huge difference to the Light Goods commercial vehicle market.
