Each year, over 1.2 million deaths occur in vehicle accidents globally. Worse still this figure is rising. A common element of these tragedies is that almost 95% involve human error, often due to distractions. Waymo believe that their Driverless / Autonomous vehicle technology could save thousands of lives and have now published a detailed report.
