Much has been said about all of the changes coming to the transportation sector with the emergence of new mobility technologies, partnerships and opportunities. Whatever language you use, whether it be ACES (Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared) to the Three Revolutions, you know change is coming.
Please join us in a conversation with TriMet, the public transportation agency in the Portland, OR metropolitan area, as they talk about how they are evolving to adapt to this new paradigm. TriMet has long been a leader in innovation in transit, including working with Google over a dozen years ago, to develop what has now become the de facto standard in transit agency data sharing, known as General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS). TriMet continues to partner with other private sector providers in a number of ways to further explore innovations in mobility.
TriMet’s Manager for Intelligent Transportation Systems, will talk about ways that the agency is exploring these public private partnerships, pilot projects and other forms of new mobility. Joined by the National Director for Smart Cities and Connected Vehicles for DKSAssociates, this conversation will provide a deeper dive into how the changes in mobility have been affecting transit agencies around the country and TriMet specifically.
The webinar will explore approaches that TriMet has recently implemented (such as the HOP smart card fare collection system), as well as new partnerships and pilots that are either currently underway or planned for the near future.
